PACES™ Training

Thank you for your interest in our training classes. Earth Tech strives to provide the best possible experience for learning our patented software package. Our hands-on training will provide attendees with step-by-step instruction on how to use PACES to produce new facility construction estimates quickly and accurately. Training is conducted in a workshop atmosphere and will be reinforced with several interactive classroom exercises. It is our objective to provide attendees with a thorough understanding of PACES key features such as adding projects, defining required and secondary parameters, calculating quantities, estimate organization and determining appropriate project markups.

The two day basic PACES course is intended for people who have not had PACES training or for those who need a refresher on system navigation, etc. The course provides an overview of the PACES estimating process, hands-on exercises to strengthen system navigation techniques, and instruction on other modules such as Renovation Express. It is recommended that individuals attending PACES training be comfortable working with a Windows Operating System environment and have basic knowledge of construction cost estimate methodologies. Registration:

Attendees should register three weeks (21 calendar days) before the scheduled class. To register, please complete and sign the training order form(PDF). Incomplete or unsigned registration forms will delay processing of your request.

Training Materials

Software: A training version of software will be provided on the latest version of PACES™ 2003. Please reference the PACES Software Purchase Policy(PDF) for more information in obtaining software.

Computer Use: Earth Tech will provide computers for your use for training at Earth Tech's classroom in Englewood, Colorado. Students are welcome to bring a personal laptop computer as long as the most recent PACES version is installed prior to the beginning of class. Earth Tech can provide a list of all requirements for training at your facility.

Training Class Size: Earth Tech limits the training class size at our facility to ten (10) students. For training at your facility, Earth Tech recommends no more than twelve (12) students so that proper attention is available to the students.

Cancellation and Rescheduling Policies:

Earth Tech finds that it is sometimes necessary to change the dates that a training class is offered, or to cancel a training class due to low enrollment (less than three (3) people). Training class content, prices and dates are subject to change without prior notice.

In the event we change or cancel a class date, Earth Tech will contact registrants within two (2) business day. If a class is cancelled, we will promptly issue a refund for the cost of the class. Earth Tech is not responsible for incurred travel costs by the trainee.

Cancellation and Rescheduling Training Class Requests:

Earth Tech requests that you send a written notification to the Training Coordinator for processing. Written notification may be sent to Earth Tech via fax at 303-771-3194 or by email to Barbara.Barnes@earthtech.com. The Training Coordinator will notify you that your request has been received. If you do not hear from the Training Coordinator within two (2) business days, please call 303-771-3103 to verify receipt.

For training at our facility, the following refund policy applies:

Cancellations: Cancellations received in writing more than twenty-one (21) calendar day in advance of the class start day will receive 100% reimbursement of course fees.

Cancellations received in writing at least fifteen (15) but less than twenty-one (21) calendar days in advance of the class start date will receive 50% reimbursement of course fees.

Cancellations received in writing less than fifteen (15) calendar days in advance of the class start date will not receive any reimbursement of course fees.

Reschedules: Reschedules received in writing more than twenty-one (21) calendar days in advance of the class start day will not incur a reschedule fee.

Reschedules received in writing less than twenty-one (21) calendar days in advance of the class start date will be charged a reschedule fee of 25% of course fees.

For training at your facility, the following refund policy applies:

Payment

Payment for training must be received at least twenty-one (21) business days before the scheduled class. Earth Tech accepts VISA, MasterCard, Government IMPAC cars, a signed purchase order, or a check payable to Earth Tech. The payment should be submitted along with the training order form(PDF).

For training at our facility:

1 to 3 attendees: $1,100 per person, same session.

4 to 6 attendees: $975 per person, same session.

7 to 10 attendees: $850 per person, same session.

For training at your facility:

12 or fewer students: $5,500 plus trainer travel expenses.

13 or more student: $9,100 plus travel expenses for two trainers.

Assumptions and Additional Information

PACES training is a 2 day training class. Training will take place from 8am-4pm each day.
Actual travel costs may be higher or lower depending on the CONUS location. OCONUS travel costs will be higher. All travel costs are to be reimbursed by the client and are a straight through, non-marked up cost.
One (1) trainer per twelve (12) students. Any number of students over twelve (12) requires an additional trainer, travel costs and training materials.
One (1) copy of the training manual including handouts and class exercises per student. Additional copies are not available.
One (1) copy per student of the training version of the PACES 2003 software to be used for the class only. The training version of the PACES 2003 software will expire upon completion of the class.
PACES 2003 software licenses can be purchased with or without training.

Transportation and Lodging

Transportation to the training site and hotel arrangements are the students' responsibility. Earth Tech assumes no responsibility for nonrefundable travel arrangements losses resulting from course scheduling changes or cancellations.
