Advanced RACER 2004 Features

Advanced features include options that allow you to customize your program and perform database functions.  The items on the main menu that provide advanced features are the Preferences and Utilities menus.

Note: You should only attempt to use the advanced features if you are familiar with the basic functions of the system.

No Markup Preference

This feature allows the user to enter assemblies into a “No Markups” table.  This new functionality, which is implemented through the Preferences menu, applies globally to all estimates using assemblies in the “No Markups” table, irrespective of whether an estimate uses System Costs or User-Defined Costs.

Utility to Upgrade RACER Database

The user is now able to upgrade multiple RACER databases to the 2004 version. The utility will update databases from RACER 2002 or 2003.  The utility will not operate with RACER 2000 (or earlier) databases. This new utility is found in the Utilities section of the RACER menu bar.

New Assemblies in RACER 2004

Approximately 150 new assemblies have been added to the RACER database for the six new D&D technologies.  A list of the new assemblies can be downloaded here.  To view this document, you must have Adobe Reader. Download Adobe Reader 6.1 now or learn more about using
